DarkNova.io is a team-based top-down shooter set in space.
Join the red or blue team, fighting to defend/steal the gem or plant/defend the bomb. Of course, you can always simply annihilate the enemy team as a path to victory. Score kills and secure team victories to get more money to buy different ships and modifications in the next round.
If you join in the middle of the round, you'll be a spectator until the next round, but the rounds go by fast!

How to play Dark Nova
.At any time press 'H' to bring up the help menu. WASD moves your ship, and your ship points towards your mouse pointer. (We strongly recommend using a mouse and not a touchpad.)
The 'P' opens the store, only available at the beginning of each round. (Quick access keys available within the store to help you shop quickly.)
'F11' is the browser hotkey to go full screen, which makes the game much more immersive, and will give you an advantage. (If you're playing through a different web portal, you may want to jump to www.darknova.io so you can get true full screen.)

Dark Nova strategy
.If you die, you become a bystander for the rest of the round. Your life is valuable, so be careful when assaulting the enemy team. Play as a team, or try to sneak up on your enemy, staying in their blind spots.
If you're attacking, you don't have to kill their entire team, just sneak in, grab the gem and return it to your base ;)
Don't forget to buy ships that counter how the enemy is playing. Different ships work better on different maps. When you're low on cash, stay back, and try to pick up different mods dropped by dead players.
